“All of you are Christ’s body, and each one is a part of it.” 1 CORINTHIANS 12:27
Recently, at our young adults meeting, we held a workshop about what it means for us to be the body of Christ.
Since we got born again, we have been placed by God into His family (His church) and by His spirit we are connected as ONE body. All of us being different parts and having received different gifts, we have a role to play for the building of God’s kingdom. Everyone is important, necessary and dependent on each other.
When, with the same vision, we put our personalities aside and bring our strengths and weaknesses together, we become complete and are able to perform the work the Lord has entrusted us with.
At the workshop, we were placed into small groups and each one was given a part of the body to consider, such as the mouth, the hands and the feet, reaching a conclusion of why that specific part is important and how it can make a positive impact in the church and the community.
To conclude: God has so carefully and perfectly placed you & I into His body and, by His grace and according to the measure of our faith, He has given us gifts, so that we can serve him in amazing ways.
We realised that the areas in which some of us are weak, others are strong. In unity we find harmony and a perfect balance, so that everyone feels equal, supporting and receiving support from each other.
