Around His Word…

Hi everyone,

We believe that all of us, leading such busy lives, sometimes find ourselves spending less time with God than we would like to!

At our recent young adults meeting, we shared our favourite scriptures, those which we always go back to whenever we need comfort and encouragement from the Lord.

We challenge you to think what passage always brings peace and joy into your heart.

We felt very strengthened by the verses shared and we’d also like to encourage you with some of them.

For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.

1 Corinthians 1:18

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.

Jeremiah 29:11-13

Let no one despise your youth, but be an example to the believers in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity.

1 Timothy 4:12

For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light (for the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness, righteousness, and truth), finding out what is acceptable to the Lord.

Ephesians 5:8-10

We hope you felt God’s heart for you! He loves each one of us and He never abandons us!

We have a quick announcement to make: Next Saturday, the 18th of February, we’ll be hosting a 5 and 10K hope rising run. Come and join us for a time of great fun!

With love,

Young adults group at BCC
