As I hear the news of the last few days and weeks I grasp how evil seems to be prevailing and people are fearful of the days ahead and I realise how it is essential, ”absolutely necessary; extremely important”, that we all need a Saviour. A God who will fight for us and save us not only from ourselves but from this crooked and perverse generation. As a believer I take comfort in knowing that there is a hope and a future in Jesus, a future and a hope not of this world but one that is ETERNAL.
David, as he was in his state of turmoil, cried out to God because he knew God was the only one who could SAVE him. Psalms 3 reads:
“LORD, how they have increased who trouble me! Many are they who rise up against me. Many are they who say of me, “ There is no help for him in God.” But You, O LORD, are a shield for me, My glory and the One who lifts up my head. I cried to the LORD with my voice, And He heard me from His holy hill. I lay down and slept; I awoke, for the LORD sustained me. I will not be afraid of ten thousands of people Who have set themselves against me all around.
Arise, O LORD; Save me, O my God…..Salvation belongs to the LORD.”
I finish by saying “Seek Him whilst He may be found”.
